Mesopotamia is known "the island" or Al-Jazeera. 
But Mesopotamia is not really an island in the sense of being surrounded by sea.
Mesopotamia was considered an island because it was a landmass surrounded by rivers.

Is it possible that there was an "earlier island" landmass surrounded by rivers?
Is it possible that Ethiopian Arabia was the earlier island of civilization or advanced culture? 

The legend about Atlantis comes from the ancient greek writer Plato. 
Did the ancient Greeks discover such information about Ethiopian Arabia, but did they misunderstand/modify/corrupt the information about Arabia 
and turn it into the legend of Atlantis in Plato's writings ?
